How to Delete or Deactivate a Facebook Account

What is the difference between deleting and deactivating  Facebook

There is huge difference between deleting Facebook and deactivate Facebook account. Deleting Facebook account is used for permanent removal of your Facebook accounts i.e your Facebook Timeline, likes, comments, share, Facebook pages etc. while Deactivating Facebook  used for temporary hiding your Facebook public profile including your timeline ,photos,likes,shares ,comments Facebook page (Optional) etc ( Making your Facebook account invisible .)

Delete Facebook Account Permanently

If you don't think you'll use Facebook again, you can request to have your account permanently deleted. Please keep in mind that you won't be able to reactivate your account or retrieve anything you've added. Before you do this, you may want to download a copy of your info from Facebook. Then, if you'd like your account permanently deleted with no option for recovery, log into your account and fill out the form in this  facebook link.



The Facebook Account Deletion Process

Your account will be ‘deactivated’ for two weeks. After this period it will be permanently deleted.
Do not login to your account during this time, it will cancel the deletion request.
To prevent accidental reactivation,

  • Delete all posts, messages and photos if possible.

How can I download my information from Facebook

You can download your information from the Account Settings page.
  1. Click  at the top right of Facebook page and select Account Settings
  2. Click General in the left-hand column
  3. Click on "Download a copy of your Facebook data"
  4. Click Start My Archive
Because this download contains your timeline information, you should keep it secure and be careful when storing, sending or uploading it to any other services.

Deactivate Facebook account temporarily

By deactivate Facebook account you will be able to hide all your Facebook  public profile , Photos ,Comments ,Shares ,likes your timeline will disappears immediately after deactivating , that's means all of your's Facebook identity will be hidden by your  request using deactivating option  in Facebook. You can also reactivate your Facebook account  by just login to your Facebook account but you can only  restore your Facebook account after 24 hours of your's Facebook deactivation . When you  successfully reactivate your Facebook account , Your timeline will appears to others immediately ,as  it was before deactivating.

Step 4. Click Deactivate your account



If you’d like to come back to Facebook anytime after you’ve deactivated your account, you can reactivate your account by logging in with your email and password. Your timeline will be restored in its entirety (friends, photos, interests, etc.). Remember that you will need to have access to the login email address for your account in order to reactivate it.
